Tips for MGT3201 Students

From our first set of group support sessions, it seems that some of you are struggling to find historical information about the year of entry and market conditions in the host country in the year of entry so we have some helpful suggestions about places you can look.

The first place to start is sony.net which has key information about its development and expansion

This link includes a timeline of when Sony entered different countries and access to bits of the Sony Time Capsule and Archive all of which may be helpful.

Sony also keeps historical statistical and financial information on its website.

If using country reports has not given you enough information about the market in the host country at the time of entry, you can try looking for information from the OECD, the World Bank and the IMF.
